Stiff / Stiff Hand ( blackjack)

 

1. Any hand that could bust if drawn to. For example a hard 12-16. The stiff hands are hard totals of 12 through 16.

2. A reference to any dealer up card of 2 through 6, since we always assume a 10-value card in the hole. "The dealer was showing a stiff."
